Pedro Tavares Martins

Graduated in Engineering from PUC-RJ, a Master’s Degree in Economics from EPGE-FGV and specialization in management from IESE-Barcelona. Combines the experience of having worked in the corporate finance area of financial institutions and the experience gained from managing the company in the telecommunications industry.

Fund Raising

Over the past three years he has been working in fund raising for projects in different areas and using different financial tools, such as FIDC (Direct Credit Investment Funds), CCB (Bank Credit Certificate), FII (Real Estate Funds), and CRI (Real Estate Receivables Certificate). Participated in transactions that raised in total approximately R$100 million for clients.

Executive

Has worked for 9 years as an executive of a multinational company in the telecommunications area, at which he established the financial controls necessary to meet the needs of an NYSE-listed company.

Consulting

Has worked for one year as a manager at Ernst & Young Consultoria and was in charge of coordinating a team engaged in modeling and determining the minimum sale price for the privatization of Rede Feroviária Federal S.A. and Cia Vale do Rio Doce S.A..

Began his career in an investment bank. Among other operations, advised clients on the privatization process of the Triunfo petrochemical complex and issuance of Mesbla’s debentures, which was the first securitization transaction in Brazil.

The companies to which he collaborated before joining ASK Renda Certa include BFC Banco, Ernst & Young - Consultoria, Globalstar do Brasil, Latour Capital, and Aria Capital.

Has been working in the capital market for over 12 years and has extensive experience in the main stock exchanges of the world, at which he once had a market share of 2% of the Brazilian coffee future market by operating on an independent basis.

Research

Created and distributed free of charge daily research focused on agribusiness, coffee, cattle, soybean, corn, sugar and alcohol with ideas related to trading, arbitration, cash, and carry. It was the first research performed in Brazil by an independent agent.

Private Equity

Performed private equity transactions with Gavea Investimentos at the Policard company, advised the Palmerio family from Uberaba, State of Minas Gerais, on the disposal of the capital stock of Bioexton – Biotecnologia to the venture capital fund Novarum. Conducted a joint venture between Vale do Rio Grande Reflorestamento and a Canadian investment fund in the creation of Blackwood Florestas da Bahia Ltda. Conducted a joint venture for the creation of DESTILARIA AROEIRA LTDA between Construtura PERPLAN from Ribeirao Preto and SACI GROUP from Orlandia. Financing structuring and preparation for the sale of an agricultural property of 8,000 hectares located in Tupaciguara, State of Minas Gerais, belonging to the Tomain family to the Saci Group from Orlandia, State of São Paulo.

Structured Finances

Structured multi-assignment, multi-series FIDC MERCANTIS AGRO MS; was able to organize within the fund 6 companies related to the Brazilian cattle-raising infrastructure, resulting in one of the largest availability of credit ever seen in Brazil. 36,000 trade bills were drawn.

Worked for the American investment bank Bulltick Capital Markets – Head Commodities Trading – and the investment company Latour Capital – Structure Finance.

Graduated as Electronic Enginner with specialization in Digital Sistems, by POLI / USP (Polytechnic School of São Paulo University) Specialization in Finance with courses at São Paulo, New York and London in Tax Planning, Factoring, Private Banking, Portfolio Management, Asset Allocation, Wealth Management, Hedge Funds, Forex, Derivatives, Structured Products and Private Equity. Approved as an Independent Investment Agent by the Brazilian CVM since 2004, is also classified as a Qualified Investor.

Experience

For the past six years he has been a senior partner at SI Advisors, a multi-family office focused in Alternative Investments and prior to that he had been a senior private banker at Bank Hapoalim, where he has worked for five (5) years and has specialized in asset allocation, portfolio management and new products research, hedge funds and alternative investments. Before joining Bank Hapoalim, Mr. Brand was an independent financial and information technology adviser.

Currently the manager of ISQ Capital de Risco. 10 years of experience in financial advice and one of the incorporators of Ibersá. Before that he was an associate of Banco de Negócios Argentária and Finibanco in the Corporate and Project Finance areas. Also a director of First Portuguese Group, in charge of the Corporate Finance, Marketing and New Business areas, at which he conceived, developed and structured a new investment fund with unique characteristics.

A professional with many years of experience, having worked as a senior executive at multinational companies from the service, manufacture and retail industries. Fabio Davidovici worked in Private Equity conducting various deals involving national and international investment before becoming a partner at ASK Finance.

Angela Feltrin – ASK Finance Brasil – Partner

Angela holds a bachalor degree in business administration in Fundação Getulio Vargas/ St. Gallen University, Switzerland. Before joining ASK, Angela worked in the risk analysis unit in Citigroup and in Brazil’s largest M&A consultancy, focused in middle market company, IGC Partners.
